Backend Developer
We’re looking for experienced Backend Developers in Gothenburg who combine strong technical skills with ownership, curiosity and a genuine drive to move things forward.
We’re open to both employment and freelance/subcontractor setups, so whether you’re looking to join TECHLA or take on your next assignment as an independent consultant, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be working with
You’ll join a development team at one of our clients, working with modern cloud-based backend services and complex technical challenges. Depending on the role, the stack may include Java, Spring Boot, Python, AWS, Azure and Kubernetes.
You’ll be part of a collaborative, DevOps-oriented team with responsbility for the full lifecycle of its services, from development and implementation to deployment, monitoring, operations and continuous improvement.
Your work may include
- Developing and maintaining backend services in Java, Spring Boot and/or Python
- Designing scalable cloud-native solutions on AWS or Azure
- Building REST APIs, microservices and distributed systems
- Working with Kubernetes and containerized applications
- CI/CD, automation, monitoring and logging
- Participating in code reviews, technical discussions and architectural decisions
Skills & Qualifications
We’re looking for someone with:
- At least 5 years of backend development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Java
- Experience working with AWS and/or Azure
- Experience building customer-facing systems
- Fluent English communication skills
- BSc/MSc in Engineering, IT or a related field
Good to have
- Experience with AWS serverless services such as Lambda and DynamoDB
- Experience with CI/CD and/or DevOps practices
- Previous experience with connected systems, IoT, automotive or telecom
